Amanda Lee is Professor in the Schools of Public Health and Social Work and Exercise and Nutrition Science at QUT. She has over 30 years experience as a “pracademic” in nutrition and public health policy and practice and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health. Amanda serves on many national and international committees, including the Australian National Preventive Health Agency’s expert committee on obesity and as Chair of the NHMRC’s Dietary Guidelines Working Committee. Amongst recent activities Amanda has scoped the new Australian nutrition policy and finalized the national Healthy Weight Guide website for the Department of Health and Ageing
