Kylie Hesketh

Associate Professor Kylie Hesketh, from Deakin University’s Institute for Physical Activity and Nutrition, holds an Australian Research Council Future Fellowship and an Honorary National Heart Foundation of Australia Future Leader Fellowship. Her research centres on epidemiological investigation of paediatric health behaviours and public health approaches to the promotion of children’s physical activity, reduced sedentary behaviours, and prevention of obesity. She has a particular focus on providing children with a healthy start to life through the promotion of obesity-preventive behaviours during early childhood. She has published widely in this field with >100 peer-reviewed papers and has been Chief Investigator on 15 nationally or internationally competitive grants.
