- This delegate is presenting an abstract at this event.
I completed my Doctorate at the University of Exeter (UK) in 2010, prior to taking up a lecturership in Health and Life Sciences at Massey University (New Zeland).
My research area of interest concerns the efficacy of exercise in improving the health outcomes of certain population groups; specifically, paediatrics (overweight and obese children & adolescents), stroke / transient ischaemic attack patients, and cardiac rehabilitation patients. The common research theme is the identification of fundamental mechanisms, and the subsequent application of various interventions, associated with modifiable cardio- and cerebrovascular risk factors, in order to reduce these risks and promote quality of life in these population groups.
I am a UK Chartered Scientist, and an accredited Sport and Exercise physiologist with the British Association of Sport and Exercise Science (BASES).
