In 2009 the National Preventative Health Taskforce, commissioned by the Health Minister Nicola Roxon, set out a detailed and comprehensive national strategy to reduce the burden of disease from obesity, tobacco and alcohol.  As a nation there is good evidence to award an A+ for tobacco control, but as this presentation will show, Australia’s approach to preventing obesity is failing badly.
